Just another sunset…

sunset

This sunset photo was taken in Kahang Organic Rice Eco Farm (KOREF). I reached there with 2 of my friends around 4pm. To my disappointment, the sky was clear without clouds. We walked a long distance from the front gate till the other end of field, passing by flocks of birds flying through the horizon, local kampung people catching fish along the irrigation channel, and of course, chasing ducks along the way! Then it was a time just before sunset, when the sun was low, the light was golden and hazy, the time we called ‘golden hour’. I quickly snap a few photos and this one is one of my favourite.

Fire!

Fireman

Fire broke out at a leather sewing factory near my office last Monday, around 7.15pm. Fireman reached 20 mins later but I didn’t join the crowd as I was rushing to meet my customers for dinner at 8pm.

The fire appeared to have started from the storeroom behind the factory. I managed to drove by the road behind the scene and saw the huge fire burning with loud cracking and exploding noise.

After dinner, I went back with my camera at 10pm. Firefighters had managed to control the fire from outside. To my luck, they were opening the factory’s side entrance, that’s when I shoot the photo above.

I left around 10.30pm, at that time, the fire had started to spread to 2nd floor. From a distance I can hear windows exploded due to heat…

Next morning, local newspaper reported that the fire was put out by fireman within 30 mins…
