Simpang Renggam Pineapple Farm

Sharing some of the photos I took over a year ago. I was using compact camera, Ricoh GX200 borrowed from friend as my own Nikon DSLR was sent for service. At first, I felt rather insecure and skeptical on the performance of not so well known Ricoh brand (it is popular in Japan & US). I started to miss my dslr after first few click with Ricoh, however I kinda like it more after I get the grasp of its function. Since compact camera doesn’t have ‘machine gun’ mode, I have to fine tune my timing skill in order to capture flying pineapple. I stood firmly infront of all the big guns and happily clicked away with this amazing lil camera…

Ricoh's macro mode

I’m quite impress with Ricoh’s macro mode. It can produce very nice and sharp macro photo with decent magnification and close shooting distance.  I took roughly 400 photos with Ricoh GX200 using LCD viewer and the battery level still showing 70% level, which is quite long lasting. At the end of the trip, I felt I don’t really miss my DSLR after all.
